If you want to upgrade your site from Joomla 2.5 to 3.x, you may encounter a message stating that "No updates are available."
To perform the update anyway, you need to follow these steps:
First, go to
Components --> Joomla! Update --> Options
There, select the Short-Term Support option instead of Long-Term Support and save the setting.
Next, go to
Extensions --> Extensions
Then select the
Update
tab.
In the upper-right corner, you should now see the
Clear Cache
button.
Click this button.
After clearing the cache, Joomla should detect the update information for version 3.x.
