Interfaces that get your users straight to their goal

We find out where users get stuck.
And we design websites, portals and shops – from wireframe to clickable prototype in Figma.

How poor user guidance costs you every day

If users don’t understand a product straight away, they leave – and take trust and advertising budget with them.

  • Visitors bounce immediately.Anyone who cannot find what they are looking for in the first few seconds is gone again.
  • Shopping baskets are abandoned.A confusing checkout loses customers just before the finish line.
  • Ads bring clicks, but no enquiries. The path from the ad to the form has gaps.
  • Support keeps answering the same questions.Whatever the interface fails to explain ends up as a ticket for your team.
  • The interface looks outdated. That costs trust, even if your offering is good.
  • Every new feature turns into a debate about fundamentals.Without a design system, design starts from scratch every time.

Our toolkit

We base our decisions on observation and data, not gut feeling. Which methods a project needs depends on the question and the budget.

We plan accessibility in from the start, according to WCAG 2.2 (accessibility).

  • User interviews and personas: who your users are and what they want to get done
  • Information architecture and wireframes: structure before design
  • UI design in Figma: in your corporate design, with components for a design system
  • Clickable prototypes: experience the application before it is programmed
  • Usability tests: real users solve real tasks, and we note where they stumble
  • Evaluation in live operation: A/B tests and analysis of the paths to an enquiry

More than 600 measures, filtered in just a few clicks

In the “Nachhaltige Sportveranstaltungen” (Sustainable Sports Events) web portal, organisers select by field of action, goal and functional area. Newcomers can hide large sports events and so only see what fits their tournament.

After every step, there is a result on the table for you to review and approve.

  1. Understand

Kick-off, goals and user context. We analyse where your product stands today.

  2. Conceive

Information architecture, wireframes and a clear direction before any design work begins.

  3. Design and test

UI design, clickable prototype and usability test with real users.

  4. Hand over

Fine-tuning and a clean handover to development – to our own team, if you wish.

Design of a solar calculator for a pool online shop on several devices

A calculator customers can use without instructions

We designed a solar calculator for an online shop selling pools. We compared several layouts for forms and input fields side by side to find the right solution together with the client.

Frequently asked questions about UX/UI design

What is the difference between UX and UI?

UX (user experience) describes how well users achieve their goal: structure, paths, clarity. UI (user interface) is the visible surface: layout, colours, typography, controls. We design both together.

Do we need user testing if we know our customers?

Tests almost always reveal stumbling blocks that nobody on the team notices any more. Just a few test participants are enough to find the biggest problems.

Do you work with our existing design?

Yes. We design within your corporate design and turn it into components your team can reuse.

Do you also implement the designs technically?

Yes, with our development team in TYPO3, Neos, Plone, Joomla, Magento, Shopware or as a custom build. Or we hand over the prototype and design system to your developers.

How much does a UX/UI project cost?

That depends on the scope and methods. After a short initial conversation, you receive a fixed-price quote with clearly defined results for each step.
