Web design: When looking for photos and graphics for website creation, you naturally can't get past the usual suspects at first
, who advertise their images as royalty-free while simultaneously charging fees for downloading and using them, sometimes under the term "fee" or directly as "licensing fees" (!). Depending on the type and duration of use, these costs can easily reach three- or even four-digit euro amounts and beyond. But there are also other providers: In addition to several platforms that offer their images free of charge but require attribution of the author, source, etc. (e.g. Creative Commons licenses), there are also sites that offer their images in the public domain, such as Pixabay. By now, there is a fairly impressive number of photos and images available here, offered in many different sizes and in excellent quality for download. Thumbs up!
