Google Penguin 2.1 Update

After website operators and SEO agencies had some time to consider the Google update "Penguin 2.0", which was rolled out on May 22, 2013, the next anti-spam measure from the Google team has now been online since October 4, 2013: Penguin 2.1

The next major anti-spam update is now live and is intended to further curb manipulative search engine optimization ("Black Hat SEO"). If you had previously followed the SEO guidelines provided by Google when optimizing your website for search engines, you could in some cases look forward to significant improvements in your rankings. However, if you had followed the SEO guidelines to a greater or lesser extent and consequently had a significant number of manipulative backlinks in your portfolio, you could experience a sharp drop for certain keywords and keyword combinations. You can read here about some SEO measures that you should generally avoid as an SEO agency or website operator and that are particularly likely to be penalized by Penguin 2.1.
